I have been blessed to have known and be loved by Georgie for most of my adult life. She came out to Australia with Uncle John to visit the Pratt family when I was about 15 years old - mid 1970s - and my life changed forever having such a wonderful Aunt and Uncle as part of it. Uncle John taught me to drink rum and coke! and Georgie taught me the gifts of curiosity and compassion. She was always deeply and genuinely interested in everything and everyone around her. She was incredibly worldly, yet humble, so clever, had a wicked sense of humor, and nothing was ever too much trouble - she was always there for others. Her faith sustained her after John passed away way too early - but hers was a profoundly inclusive faith - based simply on love and care for others - no matter where they came from or who they loved - a true Christian. Georgie taught me so much, always made me smile and feel warm and calm; she will live on in my - and many many others - hearts forever. I shall miss our chats on the phone - "hello lovey" and her beautifully hand written letters - of which I have many and will treasure forever. Rest in peace my darling Aunty - a life very well lived. All my love Cookie and Shireen xxx
